Employee Testimonials

Since it’s personal for the patients we serve, it’s also personal for our team members. We are a family-oriented workplace with a focus on teamwork, work/life balance, and treating others fairly with respect and transparency. Team members have flexibility within their schedules and work autonomously under a supportive management team. Team members are recognized and acknowledged for doing their best work through various appreciation events annually. Educational, growth, and development opportunities are offered to team members to inspire them to be highly successful in their careers with up-to-date work skills. Team members who are cross-trained, highly-skilled (talented, accomplished), motivated, and satisfied are VNA of Hanover and Spring Grove’s most valuable resources.

As a nurse, often times we feel rushed through patient care and here at the VNA that is not the case. Each patient is an extension of your family and we are allotted the time to take care of each person fully and with intent. This extends from the field to the office and I value my time working to better the quality of patient's lives and help them to become an advocate for their healthcare needs in their own homes.

The VNA is a special workforce to be employed by because of the unique relationship between nurses and therapists that ensures the continuity of care the patient deserves. I chose the vna as an employee because of the reputation that preceded them but I stayed as an employee because I have witnessed firsthand the quality of patient care and concern for patient safety and independence as the heart of the company. I have also been able to educate staff members on vertigo and pulmonary rehab and use it in practice which are my chosen specialities in my career.

The feeling of family is what drew me towards the VNA. Our hospice team truly cares about our patients and families. They work hard to maintain the quality of life and dignity at a most difficult time in our patient's life journey. This compassion spills over to our team and it is a privilege to work with such caring people.

I love working for the VNA because its a joy not a job. The joy trickles down from the top administrators and what they do for all who who work at the VNA, to being with the patients and seeing them improve or reach their best new baseline. We have a terrific team that works well together for the good of all the patients we treat. I wouldn't want to work anywhere else.

I started working at the VNA for the flexible hours. I stayed because my patients became an extended part of my family. It’s hard not to like my job when I’m helping to improve the lives of others.
