Pat Saunders, MS, RN, returns to the VNA Board of Directors in 2026, bringing a wealth of clinical expertise and a deep-rooted history with the organization. A retired Chief Nursing Officer from UPMC Hanover Hospital, Pat’s distinguished career is defined by visionary leadership, clinical excellence, and a steadfast commitment to patient-centered care. Her extensive background includes guiding nursing teams and spearheading quality improvement initiatives at UMMS St. Joseph Hospital and Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis.

Pat previously served a full 12-year term on the VNA Board, and her return after a mandatory one-year hiatus underscores her profound dedication to the VNA mission. Based in Hanover, PA, she remains an active advocate for community health, volunteering with local organizations to promote wellness and equity. Pat looks forward to continuing her lifelong work of advancing home health care and enhancing community well-being through her renewed leadership on the Board.
