Investing in the Future of Nursing
The Visiting Nurse Association of Hanover & Spring Grove is proud to offer a nursing scholarship to support future nurses pursuing a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license.
This scholarship is open to high school seniors and non-traditional students who have been accepted into or plan to enroll in an accredited LPN or RN nursing program. The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage individuals who demonstrate a commitment to nursing, compassion for others, and a desire to serve their community.
Honoring Our First Nurse
This scholarship is presented in honor of Florence deHaven Stick, the first visiting nurse of the VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove.
Florence played a vital role in establishing community-based nursing services and set a standard of dedication, professionalism, and compassionate care that continues to guide the organization today. Her legacy reflects the heart of visiting nursing: bringing skilled care, comfort, and dignity directly to patients in their homes.
Florence’s family continues to honor her life and service by generously maintaining this scholarship fund, ensuring her commitment to nursing and community care lives on through future generations of nurses.

- Letter of Reference – From a teacher, counselor, employer, or other professional person
