Established in 1980, VNA Hospice addresses the unique needs individuals and families face at the end of life either in their personal residence or an extended care facility. Hospice offers support and care to patients and their caregivers. Our hospice team combines sensitivity and compassion with expert knowledge and skills.

Skilled Nursing
RN's and LPN's provide professional care for the patient through the management of their pain and disease symptoms while teaching caregivers how to keep their loved ones comfortable.
Social Workers
Assist patients and caregivers with financial and social issues associated with their illness, and help them access appropriate community services.
Hospice Aides
Assist with personal care, provide companionship for patients, and respite for caregivers.
Spiritual Counselors
Offer assistance with spiritual needs.
Trained Volunteers
Offer companionship, therapeutic services, emotional support, pet therapy, respite, and patient/caregiver assistance.
Bereavement Counselors
Offer on-going support to family, caregivers, and friends following the loss of a loved one.

How to Arrange for Hospice Services
- With the patient's and/or caregivers's approval, we will contact the patients attending physician to confirm the needs for Hospice care.
- A Hospice team member will make a visit to evaluate the patient's needs, set up an individual plan of care, and initiate services.
- VNA Hospice services are covered by medicare, medical assistance and most insurances.
- VNA Hospice provides services to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay.
