Christine Holtz, CRNP
Hospice Nurse Practitioner
Chris brings more than three decades of experience across multiple levels of healthcare to her role as a Nurse Practitioner at the VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove. Her career began as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a skilled nursing facility while completing the vocational technical program in Carroll County, Maryland, where she graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She continued working as an LPN while earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and later served as a Registered Nurse in acute care.
In 1992, Chris joined the VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove as a home care nurse, where she provided disease management, assessment, and education to patients. She went on to obtain certification in wound care assessment and treatment, further advancing her clinical expertise. Over the next 19 years, Chris developed extensive knowledge in the assessment and treatment of chronic diseases, inspiring her to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and become licensed as an Adult/Gerontology Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP).
Since 2013, Chris has been an integral part of the VNA’s hospice program, performing face-to-face assessments and assisting with symptom management for patients and their families. In addition to her work with the VNA, she also practices as a CRNP in a primary care setting, allowing her to bring a broad and comprehensive perspective to the patients she serves.
