Valerie Snare is an experienced Occupational Therapist and healthcare leader with extensive expertise in rehabilitation management, clinical operations, medical review, quality management, and healthcare compliance. Throughout her career, she has successfully led teams through organizational growth, start-up development, and management transitions, with a strong focus on care coordination, regulatory compliance, and the development and implementation of effective policies and procedures.

 

Valerie’s passion for rehabilitation began during her teenage years when she personally experienced the benefits of therapy following an injury. Inspired by that experience, she pursued a career in Occupational Therapy and earned her degree from Elizabethtown College in 2001. She began her professional career as an Occupational Therapist and quickly advanced into Director of Rehabilitation roles within skilled nursing facilities. She later progressed into regional leadership positions with HealthPRO Heritage, ManorCare, and Bedrock Care, overseeing rehabilitation operations across multiple facilities throughout the East Coast.

 

In addition to her Occupational Therapy degree, Valerie holds certifications in Physical Agent Modalities and Lymphedema Management. She also served as an Occupational Therapist with VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove before becoming Clinical Manager – Rehab Services.

 

Valerie is passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality care and creating a culture built on respect, collaboration, accountability, and teamwork. She believes that strong leadership and effective communication are essential to achieving positive outcomes for both clients and healthcare teams.

 

Outside of her professional career, Valerie resides in Littlestown, Pennsylvania, with her husband, Scott. They have two children, one of whom is an adult living in Carlisle, while their younger child is still in school. Valerie is an avid long-distance runner and has completed several marathons and ultramarathons. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her two dogs.
