Woman and Home Care Nurse - Hanover, PA - Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Hanover & Spring Grove

Home Health Care services provide expert and skilled care on a short term basis to people who have recently had a surgery, hospitalization, or accident or are experiencing an acute illness.  Sometimes a nurse is needed to provide wound care after surgery or a person recovering from a stroke needs physical, speech, or occupational therapy.  VNA Home Health is there to help as you recover and assist in aiding patients to return to normal life functions.  Regardless of the home health care you receive, a patient’s physician oversees care and works in conjunction with the VNA clinical staff.

Chronic illness can sometimes make leaving home difficult, rendering high-quality health services difficult to obtain. Fortunately, at the Visiting Nurses Association of Hanover and Spring Grove, our professionals are fully prepared to deliver an assortment of healthcare services, including telehealth, in order to provide the specialized care that you need. Optimized for patients with chronic diseases, our in-home telehealth services connect you with a VNA nurse to facilitate long-distance healthcare.

What Is Telehealth?

Simply put, telehealth refers to the administration of typical health services from a remote location by way of telecommunications technology. At the VNA of Hanover and Spring Grove, our telehealth system offers ease of use. First, the patient is guided through a simple, interactive health check, which includes a collection of vital signs, such as weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation and heart rate. Then, this information is instantly transmitted to a VNA nurse through a standard phone line. Finally, the VNA nurse will monitor the results of the health check.

In addition to telehealth, our extensive list of services includes home healthcare, hospice, bereavement services and more, and we’re happy to offer nurses, therapists, social workers and home health aides to address a full range of needs.
